As our movement continues to evolve, the roles and responsibilities in the partnership between adults and youth continually evolve too.

The latest resources in this space provide members with two different ways of looking at key considerations regarding the possible shapes these partnerships may take in various areas of the program and beyond.

These have been updated from the version initially created in 2017 to accompany The Adventure Begins initiative, and now reflect the changes in the program that have occurred since.

There are some aspects that you will see in Scouting and the program that are essential to achieving the stated goals of Scouting. They are what makes our program unique as a global Movement of young people and adult volunteers. We call these the Fundamentals of Scouting.

We have refreshed some of the posters that promote the Fundamentals.. You might recognise many of these from The Adventure Begins resource kit of a few years ago. Now they have been refreshed using the the current Scouts Australia branding, with updated program language, and are now available on the Program Resources site.

Check these out and perhaps put them up in your hall!

As the new youth program implementation is ramping up in 2020, complementary resources developed for the introductory program The Adventure Begins have been moved across to here, for your continued use in the new program.

For your reference, the resources that were originally written for The Adventure Begins have “(TAB)” included in their name.

The Plan>Do>Review> fact sheets have now been updated to bring them in line with the language of the new program, and remove the old Adventure Begins branding. There is a sheet for each section.
